Saint John Bud Express delivers in scheduled runs instead of sending a driver out for every single order, and your order rides the very next run after you check out. That is how we keep the promise of delivery within 1 to 3 hours across Saint John. This article explains how the runs are timed, what that means for you, and how to plan your order so it lands when you want it.
What is a delivery run?
A batch of orders on one trip. Instead of one driver, one order, one trip, our drivers group orders that come in close together and deliver them in a single loop around the city.
Why we do it this way. Batching lets each driver cover more doors per trip, which keeps routes efficient and timing predictable. You know roughly when your order will leave, rather than waiting on whoever happens to be free.
When do the runs go out?
Here is the current schedule.
Tuesday to Saturday, drivers head out every 90 minutes from 11 AM to 8 PM.
Sunday and Monday, runs go out at 1 PM, 3 PM and 5:30 PM.
Our store hours are Tuesday to Saturday 10 AM to 8 PM, Sunday and Monday 12 PM to 5:30 PM.
Which run will my order ride?
The next one after checkout. As soon as your order is placed, it is slotted onto the first run that leaves after that moment.
A worked example: Your order rides the very next run: check out at 11:15 and it's on the 12:30.
Why that matters. If you check out just after a run leaves, you will be on the next one. If you check out just before, you catch that run. Either way, the wait from checkout to your door usually lands within 1 to 3 hours, depending on where the driver's loop takes them and how many stops are ahead of yours.
Why is it a window and not an exact time?
Every run is a loop. A driver might have several stops on one run. If yours is the first, you see them quickly; if it is the last, it takes longer.
Saint John traffic and weather. Construction, a busy bridge or a snowy evening can all slow things down, and our drivers will not rush in unsafe conditions.
Addresses that are hard to find. A missing unit number or an unlit house number can cost a driver several minutes. Clear delivery notes help everyone on the run.
How can you plan around the runs?
Order a little ahead. If you want your order by a certain time, place it earlier rather than later. Getting onto an earlier run is the easiest way to get it sooner.
Watch the last run of the day. Orders need to be in before the last run leaves. Late evening orders may not make it the same day, so check the schedule above and order with time to spare.
Plan Sundays and Mondays differently. There are fewer runs on those days, so the gap between one run and the next is longer. Order early if you want it in the afternoon.
Keep your phone close. The driver may call or text when they are nearby or if they cannot find your door.
What do you need ready when the driver arrives?
Photo ID. You must be 19 or older, and the driver checks ID at the door every time.
Cash. You pay the driver in cash on delivery. Our guide to cash on delivery weed explains how it works.
Your order total. It shows on your confirmation. Delivery is $5 and free on orders over $100, with a $50 minimum.
If this is your first order, our first-time buyer checklist covers everything else to have ready.
Do the runs cover my neighbourhood?
Checkout checks your address. We deliver across our Saint John zone, including the West Side and the East Side. Pick your address from the suggestions at checkout so the driver gets an exact location. Our main weed delivery page has more on where we go.
The Bottom Line
Delivery runs leave on a schedule, and your order catches the next one after checkout, which is how most orders arrive within 1 to 3 hours. Order a little ahead, add clear address notes, and have your ID and cash ready. When you are set, browse the shop and get on the next run.
